~April Elk of the Month~
Congratulations to our Elks of the Month: Joe Doll,
Karen Devoe, Chris Sherman, Rick Papale, Rich Foley,
and Frank Rascati, thank you all for your hard work on
painting the hall. You all did a fantastic job!! We have
gotten so many compliments on the colors; a job well
done!! |
~March 2025 Elk of the Month~
Let’s congratulate our March Elk of the Month Doug Stamp. Doug
has been working on many events during the year playing a major
role in coordinating the Tail Gate party, many children’s activities,
Friday Socials and Chili Chowder Cook Off. It’s not only these times
that make him a great choice for Elk of the Month is all the things
he does that no one sees. He’s the “let me know what you need
guy”. We appreciate all that Doug and his family

~ February 2025 ELK OF THE MONTH ~
A month for love and partnership is the perfect time to celebrates
two amazing individuals! A member since 2023, our February Elk
jumped right into volunteering and being an active member. Often
seen together with his partner in crime, Al and Liz are quite the
dynamic duo! Always willing to roll up their sleeves, they’ve participated
in a number of Lodge activities including Celebrate Wallingford,
Elks Breakfast, and Lodge Cleanups. Please help me in congratulating
our February Elk of the Month

~ January 2025 ELK OF THE MONTH ~
A staple around the Lodge, and always with a radiant smile, our
January Elk is often seen contributing her time in so many capacities,
including as a Special Olympics Unified Sports Partner and
our newest Bulletin Editor. An ELKssential member of the Pull Tab
Committee, Melanie (and crew) have donated funds for repairs
around the lodge.

~ December 2024 ELK OF THE MONTH ~
Destined to become an amazing volunteer, our December Elk was initiated
during our District Deputy Homecoming visit last November. Gabe,
and his wife Norma, are life long residents of Wallingford and settled right
in to being active members. He’s shown support for our Lodge activities
and has graciously donated his time with Lodge Clean-ups and moonlighted
as our DJ on numerous occasions. Please join me in congratulating
our December Elk of the Month, Gabe Ramos!!

~ November 2024 ELK OF THE MONTH ~
Often seen walking about town our November Elk is always on
the go! As a mother, special educator at ACES, and Elk, Michelle
always uplifts those around her. The multi-faceted Michelle pours
her heart into the community and has actively fundraised for Autism
Speaks, has been a member on our Drug Awareness Committee,
is passionate about cooking (in our kitchen and hers), and
is known to enjoy a little competitive trivia.
Michelle made herself right at home in our Elk family when she
joined just over two years ago and we’re so lucky to have her! |
~ October 2024 ELK OF THE MONTH ~
Bursting with drive and energy, no one can miss our October Elk. A generational member, Emily grew up at the Wallingford Elks Lodge, participating in a number of youth activities before becoming in her own right a whopping 18 years ago!
She is an asset to our Lodge and community and is active in a number of other charitable organizations, including Holiday for Giving and the Wallingford YMCA. This year, Emily helped spearhead the fundraiser “Battle of the Bars” and her tenacity lead us into new possibilitiesPlease join me in congratulating Emily Walter, our October Elk of the Month! |
~ September 2024 ELK OF THE MONTH
~A member three years, Scott is always willing to jump right in!Whether running supplies, taking shifts during Celebrate Wallingford, or assisting with Soccer Shoots, Scott is always ready to lend a hand. He does a terrific job as our Audit Committee Chairperson and is also involved with other nonprofits including The Lions and The Wallingford Wishing Well! Scott’s an incredibly hard worker and when he’s able to relax he enjoys traveling with his beautiful wife Elvira.
Please help me in congratulating Scott Cleary as September Elk of the Month and for all he does for our community!

~ August 2024 ELK OF THE MONTH ~
Embodying the principles of our Order, our August Elk is always right there to lend a helping hand. From boxing and delivering care packages with Elks Share the Holidays, to cooking and serving for both the Elks and Wishing Well tents at Celebrate/Taste of Wallingford, Charlie is never shy to jump (or HOP if it’s the Kid’s Easter Egg Hunt) right in! We are so lucky (and grateful) to have such a kind-hearted friend and Elk.Please help me in congratulating Charlie Davis, our August Elk of the Month!

~ JULY 2024 ELK OF THE MONTH ~
Not even a member six full months, our July Elk jumped right in after their initiation in January. Always full of energy and eager to learn and be involved, Evelin has made herself right at home with us at 1365! Whether you see her boogie-down on the dance floor, cooking away in the kitchen, or even just chatting with her fellow elks in the Lounge, Evelin certainly brightens the day and I am so happy to have had her choose to become part of our family! Please join me in congratulating our July Elk of the Month: Evelin Lopez-Ferro!

~ JUNE 2024 ELK OF THE MONTH ~
Always one for a laugh, our June Elk jumped right into activities at our Lodge when she joined just a few years ago. Whether it’s in the kitchen, supporting an event, marching in the parades, or her time serving the Drug Awareness Committee Joanne Howland always bring the best attitude and megawatt smile!Please join me in congratulating our June Elk of the Month: Joanne Howland!

~ MAY 2024 ELK OF THE MONTH ~
Never seen without her Stanley of water, our May Elk is not
only great at hydrating but also at lending a hand. Nina
Parisi can often be seen supporting lodge events with her
grandson, helping out in the wee hours of a Sunday morning
breakfast, and is never one to shy away from jumping in at a
moment’s notice. From coordinating bowling t-shirts, to
bringing her vivacious smile and positive attitude, we are all
lucky to have Nina as an Elk.

~ APRIL 2024 ELK OF THE MONTH ~
Whether helping at an event, cleaning around the lodge, or making points
during cards, you’ll never miss Laurie Papale’s infectious demeanor. As a
generational member, the moment she joined the Elks, Laurie can been
seen on a regular basis in both a social and volunteer manner. Laurie is
an active member in our community, supporting a number of charitable
organizations; not to mention her role as a Unified Sports Partner through
CT Special Olympics. She helps stuff new membership cards, participates
in a multitude of lodge events, hustles at our Celebrate tent, and can be
found at the Lodge on Wednesdays for Setback. You certainly won’t hear
this amazing person called “Lazy Laurie.” Those are just some of the
reasons why I’m so excited to announce Laurie Papale, not only
April 2024 Elk of the Month, but also our incoming Inner Guard!
